So we are partnering with the HistoryMiami Museum and EXILE Books to make your story, your memories and your connection to Versailles official.
What's Your Story?
Submit and share photos, stories, video and special objects to be a part of our history and legacy. Submitted materials will be featured for special 50th Anniversary projects.

Digital content:
Please limit your submissions to a maximum of 12 images, with individual files under 10MB in size and in .jpg format.
Donate an item:
Please fill out HistoryMiami Museum’s potential donation form. Collections staff will review your submission and may contact you to discuss next steps. No drop-offs or unsolicited donations through mail or in person will be accepted.
In Person:
Collection Day and MiamiStories Booth at Versailles Restaurant: Wednesday, August 25th (1:00 - 7:00 pm).
Submitted items will be reviewed by the Museum staff before being accepted for the Versailles Anniversary Project. If they are accepted, your submitted item or story will belong to the Museum and may be accessed and used at any time for research and educational purposes.
Original print material: If you have a photo, original copy of a printed document, handwritten material for paper artwork, and are not willing to part with it, you may digitize the work at home and submit a digital copy.
Versailles will review and select from the submitted material to display at the 50th anniversary celebration and be used to promote your story as part of the Versailles legacy.
HistoryMiami Museum, a Smithsonian Affiliate located in downtown Miami, safeguards and shares Miami stories to foster learning, inspire a sense of place, and cultivate an engaged community. We accomplish this through education, collections, research, exhibitions, publications, and City Tours. Now celebrating our 80th anniversary, the museum is a 70,000-square-foot facility and home to more than two million historical images and 30,000 three-dimensional artifacts, including a 1920s trolley car, artifacts from Pan American World Airways, and rafts that brought refugees to Miami. Miami Stories
We will be collecting your memories about Versailles at the restaurant on August 7th through HistoryMiami’s Miami Stories Recording Booth! Established in 2009, the Miami Stories initiative collects stories about Miami’s past, present, and future. Through this oral history project, HistoryMiami Museum documents life in the Magic City through written stories, video submissions, and audio recordings, which are preserved in the museum’s archive, and shared online and through local media outlets.

EXILE Books is an experimental artist’s bookstore and project space which recently moved to the Little Haiti neighborhood of Miami. We produce publications and site-specific events such as exhibitions, performances, lectures, fairs, and workshops in order to advance circulation and engagement with artist’s publications. EXILE seeks to establish a pervasive print culture in Miami by creating hubs for independent publishing that represent and serve our diverse community.
